When looking for a home photo printer, you can consider a compact home photo printer or an all in one photo printer. A compact home photo printer just prints photos, is more compact than an all in one photo printer and prints higher quality photos.
An all in one home photo printer on the other hand is more flexible, can print a wider selection of documents on multiple paper types and on different and larger formats. A compact home photo printer typically has a higher resolution, which is suiting well the purpose of printing quality photos.
On this home photo printer site I´ll share with you news stories, thousands of customer opinions and comprehensive reviews for you to be able to make an informed decision on which home photo printer is right for you.

This home photo printer produces some truly wonderful pics. It´s a breeze to set-up and use and the picture quality not only is great, the dye-sub printing system will assure that photos won´t fade, bleed, or look flat, never, at least not for the first 100 years
PROS
- With the special cartridge design you´ll have exactly the amount of each color for the number of prints in the cartridge. The Paper (4×6 only) and ink comes in the same cartridge!
- It´s build solidly. Nothing feels “flimsy” and it´s silent while running prints
- The internal editing capability is totally intuitive.
- It´s super easy to use, set-up, move around.
- The best thing is that it’s a dye-sub printer, meaning the photos will not fade, or bleed, or look flat.
- The ink cartridge is easy to change out.
- The only minor problem that I had with the printer is that while it’s printing, you can’t scroll through/select other pics.

This is a great printer. Nicely designed, bluetooth functionality and easy to use. The HP A646 is printing good quality pictures, though their color saturation is not upto par with the above mentioned Canon models. The pictures of the HP look good, but not as natural as those of the Canon models.
PROS
- Built-in Bluetooth which allows you to print your pictures directly from your Bluetooth mobile.
- It can do 4×6 and 5×7 and and the print head is in the ink cartridge, which means that if you don’t print for a while the ink won´t clog up.
- The touch screen works perfectly well and interacting through the screen with the printer seems to work well and is nice.
- The printer has software built into it for 32-bit Vista and XP, which most of the computers have nowadays, however we have 64-bit Vista and needed to get the software from the HP website
- A negative is that the printing time is slow – each 4×6 print takes 1:30min to print, which is longer than the 1minute Canon models.
